Donna on Newstalk
Donna is a survivor of sexual violence. Her ex husband is serving eleven years for five counts of rape. In this interview with Andrea Gilligan, Donna talks about her experience of trying to get a protective order from the courts.
Donna came to SiSi at a time when she needed peer support. This International Women's Day, we at SiSi would like to thank Donna for her courage as she persued justice, Donna also persued accountability from the systems supposed to uphold justice. She is a tireless advocate for survivors and volunteers her time to making changes that will benefit the women coming after her.
Together in SiSi we envision “An Ireland where intimate partner violence is not tolerated, and survivors’ voices clearly shape the laws, policies and services that protect them and others.”
